AI+MUNICH Connects the Munich Innovation Ecosystem to Develop a Responsible and Sustainable Use of AI
Responsible AI made in Bavaria
AI+MUNICH is funded by German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWi) and the EXIST funding program, to promote startups in the field of AI to "support not only concrete startup enterprises but above all the networking of universities and research institutions with existing AI companies and the business world at large in selected regions.” AI+MUNICH has received 5.9 million euros.
MUC SUMMIT GmbH is the project lead, promoting an AI ecosystem in the greater Munich area as an ecosystem integrator, with partners TUM Venture Labs, UnternehmerTUM, Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship gGmbH and the Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences with MUC.DAI.
The partner universities provide teaching and accelerator formats to increase the research transfer of students and postgraduates that want to set up companies in deep tech. We support rising talent to develop technology for positive impact, employing innovative business models that contribute to transformations on a systemic level.
Selected startup projects are accompanied by deep-tech experts in a sprint process and supported in their development to prime ideas for collaboration with cross-sectorial partners in Munich through the Munich Innovation Ecosystem.

Access Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), and interdisciplinary project courses. The entrepreneurial Ph.D. track and deep tech scouting are gamechangers.
Matching
Meet potential project partners through ecosystem networking events in a broad range of formats as well as the Low Touch Coaching opportunity. Take part in our events e.g. Hackathons, Fuck-Up Nights.
Acceleration
Create, test and validate your Minimum Viable Product, accessing up to 25.000 € to support startups, with stipends, AI experts, and material allocation with prototype grants.
Co-creating
Our online innovation community and pitch events bring together cross-sectoral partners to co-create, with the inclusion Micro-Credential Certificates.
